Event Detail

Carbine Level 2 provides a deep dive into the carbine as a primary weapon system, with a handgun as a secondary weapon.

Students develop a deeper understanding of the fundamentals, correct levels of input in the rifle mount, reload and malfunction drills, transitioning to and from the handgun, moving while shooting, blending speed and accuracy, utilization of cover and concealment, and an introduction to competitive stage shooting.

Pre-requisites
  • Handgun Level 2 or instructor approval.
  • Must be lawfully allowed to train with firearms.

  • Eye and hearing protection
  • Electronic hearing protection strongly encouraged
  • Semi-auto handgun of 9mm or greater caliber; no revolvers
  • OWB, IWB, or AIWB rigid holster
  • Concealed carry, battle belt, or competition belts are welcome
  • Purses, cross-draw, and small-of-back rigs are not permissible
  • Carbine-style rifle of .223/5.56 or greater caliber
  • AR pattern recommended
  • Sling for carbine
  • Weapon-mounted light required for carbine and handgun
  • At least 3 pistol magazines
  • 1 pistol magazine carrier

  • 1,000 rounds of target ammunition for carbine
